Calendar Art

The children have all produced some beautiful art work for the 2016 calendars, diaries, greeting cards and notepads. We made piwakawaka pictures. 

Orders forms were given to the children today and need to be returned to school by Wednesday 23 September.

This week in maths, we began learning about fractions.

Fractions are equal parts of a whole object

or set.

We cut one whole piece of play dough into 2 equal pieces to share with a friend.
We learned when you cut an object into 2 pieces - each part is called a half, 1/2

This week we created our very own 
silly pets.

We created our pets on the computer 
then wrote about them.

I made a silly pet.
It has mouse ears and a dog body.
It is funny.

My pet is called Big Body.
It has big stompy legs.
It is a silly pet.
