The Life Education caravan is at school this week. We have had two sessions in the caravan with Bec. We learned about the things we need to make us 'go and grow' We learned about Harold's Super 6 nutrients.....
We learned about air to live. We learned we breathe in oxygen and we breathe out carbon dioxide.
We loved seeing Harold the Giraffe and meeting Bec.
We can't wait for the caravan to come back next year!
Matariki is the Māori name for the constellation of stars that
are often known in other cultures as the Pleiades or the Seven Sisters.
Matariki may be translated as mata riki – tiny eyes, or as mata Ariki – eyes of
God. These eyes are thought to watch over the land and it’s people. Matariki celebrates the diversity of life.
It’s a celebration of culture, language, spirit and people. Matariki is our
Aotearoa Pacific New Year.
