 When we arrived at school today

a butterfly had hatched!

 It was ready to fly away

so we opened the window.

 There she goes

up, up and away!

Orean helped us put 

the swan plants in the 

Butterfly Garden.

It is outside Totara Block

and there are heaps of caterpillars!

We have been watching and waiting as our chrysalis changes.. we are hoping to see a butterfly before the holidays.

This afternoon we made a life cycle headband..

We watched this youtube clip and then 

we did an insect sort...

We did our Maths outside today...

Today we talked about

Everyone is included

as part of our KiVa programme.

These are the ideas we came up with.

We talked about what a group is

examples of a friendly group

and how we feel when we are included.

A chrysalis!

At last, one of our caterpillars

has turned into a chrysalis.

We can't wait to see our

monarch butterfly.
